From the Classroom to Closing Day: Middle Tennessee's People-First REALTOR®

Professor. REALTOR®. Husband. Dad of four. Music lover. Lifelong San Francisco Giants fan. I bring an uncommon mix of academic rigor and real-world relocation experience to every client I serve in Nashville, Middle Tennessee, and the surrounding communities.

My path here wasn't traditional. I started in the front office of a Major League Baseball organization, moved through business operations across multiple Division I athletic departments, earned a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University, and now serve as a Professor of Sport Administration at Belmont University in Nashville, where I prepare students to lead in sports and entertainment. That background shapes everything about how I work with real estate clients.

Rooted in Tennessee, Shaped by the Road

I grew up on a farm in California's San Joaquin Valley and first came to Tennessee in 1999 to attend the University of Tennessee, where I met my wife, Amy, a Cookeville native. Our family's journey has since taken us through Florida, Kansas, Ohio, Missouri, Louisiana, and Georgia before bringing us back home to Middle Tennessee, where we're raising four incredible kids alongside two rescue pups.

Living that life — relocating repeatedly, navigating new neighborhoods, building community from scratch, and making high-stakes buying and selling decisions along the way gave our family firsthand knowledge of what it truly means to move. That experience is the foundation of my passion for real estate.

Why Middle Tennessee Real Estate?

Buying or selling a home in the Nashville area is one of the most significant decisions you'll make. Whether you're relocating to Middle Tennessee, purchasing your first Nashville home, upsizing, downsizing, or exploring investment properties in the region, the process is deeply personal, and it deserves a guide who treats it that way.

I intentionally keep a focused client base so I can truly get to know each person I work with: your priorities, your timeline, and what "home" actually means to you. From there, I work to simplify complex decisions, negotiate strategically on your behalf, and remove every obstacle between you and closing day.

A Philosophy Built on People, Not Transactions

Sports, teaching, and real estate share a common thread: long-term success is measured by impact, not volume. That's why I partnered with The Real Estate Collective (RECO) — an agency whose mission aligns perfectly with mine: people over profits. It's more than a tagline in Middle Tennessee's competitive market. It's a commitment to doing right by you at every step.

Whether I'm in the classroom at Belmont or sitting across from you at the closing table, my approach never changes: listen first, lead with integrity, and serve with purpose.

If you're ready to buy, sell, or invest in Nashville or Middle Tennessee, I'd be honored to help guide your next chapter.

I interviewed three agents before choosing Chris, and honestly it was not a close decision. He came to our first meeting with a full market analysis, a clear pricing strategy, and a marketing plan that actually made sense. What I did not expect was how much I would enjoy working with him. He kept us informed every step of the way, never made us feel rushed, and when we got to the negotiation table, he fought hard for us. We went under contract in two weeks and closed above asking price. I tell everyone I know to call Chris first.

We were nervous about selling. We had lived in our home for eighteen years and it felt like a big deal, because it was. Chris understood that from day one. He never treated it like just another transaction. He walked us through everything, explained the market in a way that actually made sense, and was always just a text or phone call away when we had questions. By the time we got to closing we felt completely confident in every decision we had made. We could not have asked for a better experience or a better person to have in our corner.
